Selection and Query Techniques Using Google Fusion

Google Fusion, a Google Drive tool, enables users to upload spreadsheets with geographic information to quickly create maps.  The example below illustrates a Google Fusion map made with data from the ACLED project.  The map depicts conflict events in Yemen from 2017 to the beginning of February 2018.  Details about how you can create your own maps from ACLED data are available here.

The map below explores conflict events around Baghdad, illustrating the satellite view map of the region.

This is a map of conflict events in South Sudan from 1997-2018 (updated September 25, 2018). The points illustrate different total fatalities attributed to each event.
